How does someone with no previous job experience write a resume?

I want to start applying to jobs, and I tried to look up ‘how-to-write-resume’ things online, but all of the ones I found were mostly for people who already had previous job experience, or finished their education – or at least most of it. I’m a freshman in college and I’ve never had a job before. I need help in how to write a resume but I don’t really know what to put it in. Any tips? Or a website that helps people like me on how to write resumes?
To the first answerer, I clicked on the website you gave and um.. apparently it’s ‘unsafe’.. I have this “WOT” (Web of Trust), it’s an add-on for mozilla firefox that tell how reliable and trustworthy a site is.. and the website you put is red, which means more-or-less, its risky/dangerous/not-a-good-idea-to-go-onto-that-website…
but thanks for ur tip :)

If your applying for a retail job, you won’t need a resume.

If you are applying for a job that is career related, just put information down about your college and high school that applies to the job. It will be an internship most likely that you are trying to get, and employers understand that you probably have never held a job before and won’t judge you for your lack of employment.

List things like extra circular activities, volunteer work, or anything else that might apply to the job.

Here is a resume example that has no work experience listed: http://www2.ucsc.edu/careers/handouts/resume/No_Experience_Resume.html

Go to the Hotjobs link on Yahoo’s homepage. They have a resume layouts and a wizard to help. There will be a link on the right hand side of the screen that will say “Your resume”, click and good luck!!!

the best and quickest way is to go to your friend who you think is smart enough to help you write your resume.

also a computer typist will able to draft a good one for you.

I am a senior in High school so I am not sure this will help that much but i just finished my business class…

I just finished my resume, and you really need to make your objective clear on what your looking for in a job. I put something along the lines of “Entry Level employment in the food industry that will utilize my skills of cooking, baking…” but that’s something that you would have to customize for you! I added the activities that i have done in the past, awards i have received throughout school, volunteer work, and what schools you have attended, and what years!

Good luck with your resume! Hope I could help a little bit!!!

If you are just starting out building your resume, focus on your Goals Objectives and any facts that give an employer an idea of who you are and why you would be a good employee.

    Objective:

Obtain a position where I can

    Goals:

Attend a college in the fall with a primary focus on engineering

    Sell your strengths and character…
