you can still apply that shouldn’t be a problem with the whole different state thing my sister lived in RI and applied to places in DC but she went to school there if they really like you they will just ask about your address situation

tell them you’re already planning to move to ohio and will be there by a certain date. and if you’re applying to a few places, try to have the interview dates close to each other, so you can go up there and interview at a few places at once.

i agree with the cover letter idea, I am moving from AL to NC and I am finding its hard. I am transfering within my job so that parts ok its the move itself. A idea I found is to buy a hitch for my car and tow a trailer and move everything myself, much less expensive than a moving truck or movers. Good Luck

Well when my family and I moved to AL from TN, my dad was on job transfer as furniture manager for a big lots store. then we moved back to TN after I graduated High school there and he job transfered back there to a big lots store as assistant manager since the furniture manager position was out. I say save up your money, find a cheap place to live in OHio preferably a place that pays some utilities and then start looking for a job after you move in. Best of Luck! Amber

always be honest – it won’t do anything but hurt you later. you never know what the circumstances are until you give it a try. so just send those resumes out there constantly

Indicate on your cover letter (attached to your resume) that you’re currently relocating from SC to wherever and therefore seeking employment in that area. Perhaps offer telephone and webcam interview but say you’re willing to travel for a face-to-face interview – at that point, if someone says that u passed all parts of the process and just need a formal interview, u can make the choice & maybe schedule a few interviews for the same trip.

i’m amazed you have courage to move out of state. i have lived in michigan ALL my life and i would love to move out of state.. i guess, if you count living at cedar point from june to aug as living in a differnt state than ya i have but that was differnt.. but i have no advice so all i can say is Best of luck
