Take anything at all that you’ve done at church, at school, anything.
You’re right, you don’t have experience so you have to get creative. Highlight your experiences in school, that’s about all you’ve got. I would spend more time on making your resume look solid and professional, and sharpening your interview skills. You’re going to have to compete with people that have more experience than you, so you have to convice that hiring manager that you are a better choice than those with more work experience.
You are the only one who’s going to convince them, though.

If you don’t have any employment history, try and put down any skills or hobbies you have that are relevant for the job you’re applying for. If you’re in any sports teams, clubs or other volunteer organizations you could include these if you can relate them to your job (all these demonstrate that you can interact with people, cooperate and get things done). You could also list any achievement, awards or scholarships that you’ve gotten from school. This will help prove you’re a fast learner and that you catch on to things easily. Try and get some references from people that know you well and can give a good testimony of your character (ex. teachers, coaches etc…, however most places won’t except family members as references)
Your resume should be neat, well organized and precise enough to be read within 30 seconds. Because you don’t have any job experience you need to project that you can get along with people and that you can learn skills and follow instructions.

If you haven’t had any JOB experience, you can put any of the following on a resume:
Sports teams you’ve been on, sports teams you’ve coached, any awards that you have received, and student council groups you have been a part of, any babysitting that you may have done, any activities you have helped organize, volunteer work that you have done, etc.
Anything that would show traits that they may be looking for in an employee would work (ie: teamwork, ambition, commitment).

Don’t try too hard or put too much. They know you’re young and adding so much seems desperate and would just be a bother to weed through.
    Include:
    1) Education up to high school
    2) Participation in extracurricular activities
    3) Ranking positions and achievements in organizations in your school
    4) Skills such as languages, computer programs, related to the job you’re looking for
    5) The objective of your resume (reason you’re applying specifically to them)
Try attending seminars or lectures if you could get into them, they could be added as well.

There really isn’t a resume to do but if u Just got out of high School u can go ahead and place school activities like events , sports and, community service, other things like helping out in the neighborhood, as well as u can make your own resume on microsoft word using a template or go to monster.com and get a template there.

I just wrote my first resume today too [: If you have Microsoft Word, find the Resume Wizard, and choose the one that says new document. It’ll give you lots of options other than previous employment such as extra curriculars, volunteer work, interests, objectives, etc.

On your resume, put classes you have taken that would make you qualified for the job. If you don’t get accepted for this job, I would volunteer somewhere to get some job experience. Its really bad you have no job experience at 18.

  8. lexa1088 says:

There are many books and websites out there to help out with it. If you do not have any jobs experiences but other relevant experiences, go from there. Make sure your personal contact information and education is included also.

then dont include a blank work experience list, just pass the resume with what you have, if they ask, you say this is my first time to apply for a job.

You can list education, volunteer experience, awards or recognitions, relevant skills, etc. It isn’t limited to job experience. Look for some examples online.
