Your entry level resume should be function oriented, you should concentrate more on showing your capabilities, skills and specific abilities. You cannot yet boast about accomplishments so try to balance that out with other aspects. Like your ability to adapt, you capability to work as in a team environment, and other traits that you think will be of benefit to the company if they hire you.
Place your educational background, certificates, academic achievement somewhere on the top of your resume, followed by your skills and knowledge. You can also include anything that you learned outside of school, like knowing how to speak other languages, or self taught posing techniques. It is important that your format your resume so that these thing will easily be noticed.
wait a minute- this sounds like a scam youre walking into. agencies dont require resumes, and they do not have you apply for jobs- thats their job; not that theyd “apply” for jobs for you before you were signed anyway. if this place is john casablancas, john robert powers, barbazon or any other place that offers modeling “classes” or asks for a penny up front, RUN. these places are ALL scams and are not agencies in any way, shape or form. they “sign” anyone with the money to throw away on their useless classes- real models do NOT take classes!!! also, if you are not 5′8″ (women) and a size 2 or 4, you wouldnt meet any agencies basic requirements, so thats another way to gauge if a place is scamming you; for example, if youre 5′6 and an “agency” wants to see you again, they are most likely not an agency. be very careful- it sounds like you havent researched modeling much and thats essential because 99% of the “opportunities” and “agencies” out there are scams and that is a proven statistic. modeling agencies only accept either a professional portfolio (with modeling WORK in it) or snapshots that are very specific and follow each agency’s directions- which are usually: no makeup, against a white wall, one head and shoulders and one full body, typically in a swimsuit, and no photoshopping, along with your measurements, height, dress and shoe size; if they have a “application” form to fill out, its a scam- PERIOD!! trust me, ive been signed with 4 agencies in my career, aside from my current agency, and none of them operate that way; in fact no real agency does. and you do not “apply” for modeling jobs. the bottom line is this: what youre looking into is not legitimate, and i can tell you that with 99.999% certainty. places like that have no connection to the modeling world- ever. disregard mitch’s advice because all of that does not apply to modeling; modeling is nothing like an office job where you list your abilities and certificates- real agencies dont care. they care about the way you look, if you stand out in a virtual sea of tens of thousands of gorgeous girls (or guys), if youre features are what is hot in the industry NOW, and if you are tall enough and thin enough with perfect proportions- thats it. they have no reason for you to fill out an application. this place is going to ask you for money very soon: and no legit agency EVER asks you for a dime until you book a paying job through them.
